Statement Enters A New Era Of Center Console Performance With Innovative 430 Tigress Catamaran

Leave it to Nick Buis and the dedicated team at Statement Marine in Clearwater, Fla., to announce something truly exciting and game-changing just days before the Miami International Boat Show where it will be on display this coming week. And we’re not talking about a hot tub in the back of a high-performance, turbine-powered catamaran—although that was a memorable showing at the Miami Beach Convention Center 15 years ago.

Statement Marine is teaming with Rockford Fosgate to display its brand-new, quad-outboard-powered 430 Tigress CAT, a vessel that the company says redefines what a center console can be, at the Arizona-based stereo company’s booth, #MBCCD9, in the convention center. The beast of a boat has been in the works for close to three years and, according to Statement owner Nick Buis, it’s more than worth the wait—it’s a vision to push the industry forward.
“As the industry continues to evolve, we felt it was time to take our own path, one that brings something not only new but truly exciting to the industry and our clients,” said Buis, who, with former business partner Todd Werner, introduced Statement Marine to the world in 2009 via the innovative 42 Ultimate V-bottom featuring an air-suspension cockpit. “The revolutionary 430 Tigress CAT hull design is a first-generation departure from conventional center consoles. In fact, it’s more than a boat—it’s a statement. With unmatched space, cutting-edge technology and exhilarating performance, it’s setting a new standard for what’s possible in the market.”

The 430 Tigress CAT from Statement Marine hit the water for the first time this morning.
With powerboat industry trailblazer Craig Barrie by his side for most of the construction of the 430 Tigress, Buis had all the encouragement he needed to shock the high-performance community again. He also had an extremely committed crew willing to put in the time and energy to get the boat on the water.
Barrie, who decades ago creatively introduced a 33-foot Cigarette Racing Team center console at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, said he can’t wait to show off the quad-engine catamaran, which checks in at 12 feet wide and 45 feet, 6 inches long with a dry weight of 16,900 pounds, in Miami. Barrie added that the first one is sold and that hulls number two and three are already in the works.

“I’m telling you what, this boat is a game-changer,” Barrie said. “It’s going to get up and go, and offer an exhilarating ride over the water, no matter what the conditions are like. We designed this boat to elevate performance, space, entertainment and safety. And with four engines back there, it’s going to be powerful when needed, yet exceptionally fun and comfortable for any adventure.”
The stereo, Barrie added with a laugh, is “over the top” and the main reason the boat is part of the Rockford Fosgate exhibit. He said the team at Rockford Fosgate is excited to have the 430 Tigress on display with what he called easily the most impressive and powerful marine stereo system he’s ever seen in a boat. Featuring 20 amplifiers and nearly 70 speakers, the audio powerhouse is engineered to deliver an unparalleled sound experience on the water.

The Statement is loaded with electronics and stereo equipment from Rockford Fosgate.
Barrie said another important aspect of the 430 Tigress is its expansive cabin with 6-foot headroom, a full-size head with a sink and shower, a comfortable sleeping area, and a well-designed floor space that maximizes relaxation.
The hardtop is equipped with LED-integrated speakers, a SureShade system and a windshield with side wings for enhanced visibility and protection. The helm features dual Garmin 22-inch displays, offering state-of-the-art navigation and control.

Of course the four Mercury 500R engines ensure high-speed thrills with an optional 800-gallon fuel capacity for extended range (600 gallons is standard). The exterior is finished with custom European-inspired paint, meticulously selected by the owner. Inside, the all-Alcantara interior is complemented by matching Marine Mat flooring, creating a seamless blend of performance and luxury.
“Water conditions? Bring it.” Buis added for emphasis, encouraging interested boaters to come check out his company’s unique 430 Tigress. For more details, contact Barrie at 954-614-2591 or cnbarrie@gmail.com.
