Lake Of The Ozarks Shootout Airing On CBS Sports Network This Sunday – Speed on the Water
In case anyone forgot how incredible last month’s Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Sunrise Beach, Mo., was, the organizers behind the 35th annual event and the Powerboat P1 production crew were happy to announce that fans of the top-speed contest that raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities can catch a complete one-hour episode recapping the 2023 event this Sunday, September 24, on CBS Sports Network at 2:30 p.m. CST.

That’s right, a fully produced Shootout recap is going to be on national television this weekend and viewers can catch it on the following satellite, cable and streaming channels: Spectrum Ch. 207, DirecTV Ch. 221, Dish Ch. 221, as well as YouTube TV, DirecTV Stream, Fubo TV and Hulu + Live TV.
“We’re thrilled to see the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout go to another level with this year’s television coverage,” said Leah Martin, the event’s executive director. “It’s exciting to be able to promote performance boating at Lake of the Ozarks to people who don’t know anything about it. This is huge for us and the lake. Not only does it offer a different level of exposure for our event, it provides a huge added bonus for our supportive sponsors and participants.”
While the two-day real-time coverage of the event, which is available online and via local TV and radio stations, has continued to improve throughout the years, Martin said a television show has been a goal of the board of directors for some time.
“I love it—any national exposure the lake and its events gain is awesome,” said Brett Manire, co-owner of Performance Boat Center, the longtime presenting sponsor of the event. “I think it’s a huge step in the progression of the Shootout. I can’t wait to see it.”
For any locals who can’t wait to watch the special episode on Sunday, the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout organizers are planning an exclusive premier viewing party at Captain Ron’s Bar & Grill, the event’s host location, at 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 23.
The coverage also is going to be airing as a two-part series on Bally Regional Sports Network. The air dates for those two episodes are scheduled for Saturday, September 30, at 3:30 p.m. CST and Saturday, October 7, at 3:30 p.m. CST.
