Luke Clausen Joins Bass Cat Team
Bass Cat Boats a leading manufacturer of tournament ready high performance bass boats has added veteran Bass Pro Tour competitor Luke Clausen to the companys national pro team

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. (February 7, 2025)Bass Cat Boats, a leader in high-performance, tournament-ready bass boats, has officially added Luke Clausen to its national pro team, strengthening an already stacked roster with one of the most accomplished anglers to emerge from the Pacific Northwest.

Clausen is part of an elite group of professionals who have won both the Forrest Wood Cup and the Bassmaster Classic. He captured the Forrest Wood Cup title in 2004 at Logan Martin, Alabama, during his rookie year on the FLW Tour, then claimed the Bassmaster Classic victory just 18 months later at Lake Toho, Florida. Over his career, he has qualified for 10 Forrest Wood Cups, two Redcrests, and four Bassmaster Classics, amassing nearly $3 million in tournament winnings.

“The quality of Bass Cat is second to none,” said Luke Clausen. “We increasingly see boats on tour that don’t hold together, but Bass Cats have a long life. The quality of the build, and the people behind them, make them a tool you can depend on over a long and grueling season.”

Bass Cat’s Commitment to Performance & Excellence

Bass Cat’s Rick Pierce expressed his excitement about adding Clausen to the team:

“Luke’s accomplishments speak for themselves,” said Pierce. “But we wanted to partner with him not just for his past achievements, but for what we expect him to do in the future. He got his start in the sport early, so he’s a young 45, with lots of tread left on the tires, and he continues to prove that he’s one of the most adaptable anglers around.”

Clausen’s Choice: The Puma STS

For the 2025 tournament season, Clausen will compete in a Puma STS, praising its rough water ride, speed, and unmatched fishability.

“It’s incredibly stable and has a wide body,” Clausen explained. “I like that extra room to have a lot of rods out on the deck. That was the biggest determining factor—what it does when the trolling motor is down. All of the Bass Cats are pretty fast, and with a Mercury 250 Pro XS, I’ll optimize performance. But it’s the complete package and a better choice for me than anything else on the market.”
