OAKLEY, CA — The City of Oakley is excited to announce its official partnership with the renowned Bass Angler Magazine Tournament Trail (BAM Tournament Trail). This alliance aims to bring a spotlight on Oakley’spristine waterways, boost local tourism, and nurture the sport of bass fishing in the region.

“We are thrilled to join forces with the BAM Tournament Trail,” said Oakley’s City Manager Josh McMurray. “Oakley’s natural beauty and rich aquatic resources make it an ideal location for anglers from all over the country. This partnership will not only boost our local economy but also foster a sense of community around the sport.”

The BAM Tournament Trail is known for hosting premier fishing events, with top anglers competing across the west.

With Oakley now being one of the select cities on the tournament’s trail, local businesses are expected to see a surge in visitors, particularly hotels, restaurants, and tackle shops.

“Mark Lassagne, CEO of the BAM Tournament Trail, said, “Oakley’s waters have always been a featured stop among bass anglers. Our collaboration will introduce more anglers to this beautiful location, creating memorable experiences and furthering the sport. “

This partnership will kick off with an inaugural Pro-Am fishing tournament scheduled for April 26-28, which is expected to draw a large crowd.

Residents and visitors can expect a weekend filled with exciting fishing, family-friendly activities, and a chance to witness some of the best anglers in action.

The City of Oakley invites everyone to be a part of these grand events, which is not just about fishing but also celebrating the city’s commitment to recreation, conservation, and community building.
