Cigarette Racing Kentucky Kicking Off Season With New 41 Nighthawk To Showcase
When Paul Michael and Tiffany Ison started Cigarette Racing Kentucky a little more than a year ago, they showcased a deep-blue 42 Auroris center-console at the Kuttawa Cannonball Run. Foul weather forced the organizers of the Kentucky-based event to cancel Saturday’s signature lunch run. Like all the participants, the couple was naturally disappointed but vowed to return in 2025.
The Ison’s brought a stunning 41 Nighthawk from Cigarette Racing Team back to their Somerset, Ky., dealership this week.
Good to their word, the Isons are coming back for the May 30-31 event—and not just with high hopes for better weather. As event sponsors, they’ll be bringing a new Cigarette Racing Team 41 Nighthawk center console. They picked up the blue-hued 41-footer powered by four Mercury Racing 500R outboard engines and equipped with dual bolster-rows this week in South Florida and brought it back to their location in Somerset, Ky.
Right now, the elegant center console is a demo boat. But it is for sale.
“It’s the first model in the history of Cigarette to have this color combination,” Tiffany Ison said. “The custom-stitched Tiffany-blue accents are made from marine-grade leather. The rest of the interior was done in Cool Touch vinyl.”
Though the Isons hope to sell the boat during the Kuttawa happening, they’ll have plenty of opportunities this season if they don’t. Their travel plans included the Big Thunder Marine Cigarette Owners Rendezvous, June 12-15 at Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri. Next for the couple is the June 26-29 Lake Cumberland Thunder Run in Kentucky, followed by the Boyne Thunder Poker Run July 11-12 in Boyne City, Mich.
For the moment, the 41-footer is a demo boat for Cigarette Racing Kentucky.
Additional events on their schedule include the August 7-10 Rocky Top Power Run in Tennessee, the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout August 20-24 Missouri, the September 4-7 Lake Cumberland Poker Run and the September 18-21 Emerald Coast Powerboat Poker Run. They’ll finish the year with the Florida Powerboat Club Key West Poker Run, November 5-11.
“We have a big schedule planned, for sure,” Ison said. “But Paul and I can’t wait for the season to start.”
