Two Weeks And Counting—Big Thunder Marine Gearing Up For BFD 2023

While there are various poker runs and rallies celebrating the Baja, Fountain and Donzi brands, the biggest and baddest gathering of all three brands happens every summer at the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri. Produced by Big Thunder Marine and playfully dubbed the BFD Fun Run, the two-day happening has become a must for brand loyalists. This year’s event, set for July 20-21, is coming up quickly.

Registration is open and will remain so until July 21 at 2 a.m. There is no sign-up fee, but registration is required for participation.

“We enjoy this run because we get to see and hang out with so many of our great customers who truly enjoy the brands we’re so passionate about,” said Jeremy Anderson, the general manager of Big Thunder Marine.

The sixth annual event begins at the dealership’s rapidly expanding Speed and Luxury showroom with a Thursday night welcome party and BBQ dinner. The following morning before the run, there is a drivers meeting and complimentary breakfast at H. Toads Bar and Grill, which is next door to the Camden On The Lake Resort.

Anderson said he and his team are expecting no less than 100 boats to be in the mix this time around. The fun run’s multi-stop, daylong format will remain the same as it was in 2022.

“Why change what’s worked so well?” he said, then chuckled.
