Mercury Racing Expanding Production And Propeller Facilities
In a move that points to a bright future for Mercury Racing on the cusp of its 50th anniversary, the Fond du Lac, Wis., high-performance marine engine and accessories company broke ground today on a 40,000-square-foot manufacturing-space expansion and an 8,000-square-foot addition to existing propeller shop. The two-phase expansion, which will bring Mercury Racing’s facility footprint to approximately 150,000 square feet, will be completed in 2023—the outfit’s Golden Anniversary year.
The company announced the news in a press release this afternoon.

“As our business continues to grow and our line of luxury sport products expands, this project meets our need for more space to develop new technology and innovations that excel in high performance, competition and beyond,” said Stuart Halley, Mercury Racing’s general manager, in the release.
Added Chris Drees, the president of Mercury Marine, “This facility expansion gives us room to grow, bolsters our ability to meet the demand for innovative new products and demonstrates our continued commitment to the Fond du Lac community.”

The manufacturing operations expansion is slated to be finished by April. The propeller shop addition is scheduled to be completed by October.
