Abyss Batteries To Help ‘Power’ P1 and Good Boy Vodka/df Young Class 1 Team

A leading designer and manufacturer of lithium batteries for marine use based in Southwest Florida, Abyss Battery has signed on as a sponsor for London-headquartered Powerboat P1, the producer/promoter of the five-event Union Internationale Motonautique-sanctioned Class 1 World Championship Series and the P1 AquaX USA National Championship. The news was announced in a Powerboat P1 press release this morning.

This is a unique opportunity for us to focus on giving back to the sport,” ,” said Nicholas Vasilaros, the founder and chief executive officer of Abyss Battery, in the release. “We’re looking forward to working closely with P1’s superb team towards that goal. P1’s quality broadcast coverage is a very appealing component to drive motorsport’s success.”

In Class 1-specific dive into the offshore racing sponsorship realm, Abyss Battery also is backing the Good Boy Vodka/df Young team of owner/throttleman Rich Wyatt and driver Alex Pratt, the owner and founder of the vodka and canned cocktail brand.

Reached this morning, Pratt said he is delighted to be working with the lithium battery company and its owner, who is a friend.
