Stephen Miles Goes Molten With Colors For Latest Outerlimits SC 37 Cat
A longtime V-bottom man who still owns a Cigarette Racing Team 42X sportboat, New Hampshire’s Joe Bresnahan made the jump to the catamaran realm earlier this year and ordered a new SC 37 from Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats. As previously reported, the 56-year-old tasked Stephen Miles Design of Owensboro, Ky., to handle the Mercury Racing 450R outboard engine-powered 37-footer’s paintjob and Kutting Edge Interiors of O’Fallon, Mo., to create its interior.
Miles enjoyed working with client Joe Bresnahan even more than painting his new Outerlimits catamaran.
Stephen Miles finished the paintwork this week and is pleased with the results. Bresnahan, he said, made the entire process a pleasure.
“Joe was an amazing guy to work with and an awesome first-time customer,” Miles explained. “He’s a hard-working, salt-of-the-earth gentlemen with an awesome family—just the kind of people it feels good to be around.”
“They were super-easy to work with and huge fans of what we do here at Stephen Miles Design,” he added.
Miles has painted several 37-footers for Outerlimits since the Bristol, R.I., company introduced the model a few years ago. And whether his next Outerlimits paint-project is another cat or a V-bottom, he’s looking forward to it.
“I am always proud to work with the Outerlimits team, of course,” he said. “They don’t build a lot of boats, but they sure build super-nice ones.”
