Meet Hinckley’s new outboard powered 41-footer

Word just came in from Hinckley that they’re launching a new 41 with a trio of V10 Mercury Verados hanging off the back. The 41 is based on the jet-powered 39 Picnic, so she’ll feature the same familiar—and substantial—forward seating arrangement, but the builder is promising even better storage amidships for Seabobs, inflatable paddleboards and scuba gear—while still maintaining a good-sized swim platform. Her 22-degree deadrise hull should, like all Hinckleys, handle short-period chop particularly well, but unlike the jet-driven 39 Picnic, which tops out at 32 knots, this outboard-driven model should push 52. And with the motors up, she’ll still be able to slip into shallow waters or nose up onto a sandy beach. When we get the chance for test run, you’ll be the first to know.
