Statement Expanding Center Console And Sport Catamaran Lines
With three new models to be released this year, Statement Marine is continuing to build its lineup of center consoles and sport catamarans. In addition to its existing 35- and 38-foot V-bottom, outboard engine-powered center consoles, the Clearwater, Fla., company—as previously reported on speedonthewater.com—is adding a 43-foot, catamaran-hull-based center console dubbed the Statement 430 that will debut this spring.
Statement Marine is planning to unveil the 44 GTRS center console the 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Statement also is adding another mono-hull offering called the 44 GTRS to its center console series. That model, which will have a 12-foot beam and two side-doors and will ride on a five-step bottom, should be completed in time for the 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in late October.
On the sport catamaran side, the builder’s new 396 model should be on the water by late summer. The 39-foot sport cat will be powered by the latest twin outboard offerings from Mercury Racing. Like the 44 GTRS center console, it’s the product of a collaboration between Statement Marine principal Nick Buis and Randy Sweers of FB Marine Group, a South Florida-based Statement dealer.
Both the Statement 44 GTRS center console and 396 catamaran are slated for release this year.
“With my years in the marine industry as well as offshore racing and Nick’s years of boat building, it was a natural to collaborate on these projects,” said Sweers, a veteran marine dealer and offshore powerboat racer currently competing in the Super Stock class. “I have always wanted to design and build, but being a dealer has its limitations.”
The cat will be offered in six- and eight-seat pleasure versions, as well as two- and five-seat racing versions. Both will be available with either open- or canopied-cockpit configurations.
Buis said he is excited to offer the expanded lineup to Statement’s coast-to-coast dealer network.
“We have Legend Marine Group in Texas, Iguana Marine in the Midwest, Performance East in the Carolinas, Horizon Motorsports out West and, of course, FB Marine Group in South Florida,” he said. “Our dealer network is unmatched and we think these new models will be great for them, as well as all of us at Statement Marine.”
