Spectators heading to the season-opening Race World Offshore 7 Mile Offshore Grand Prix in Marathon, Fla., will get an in-person view of the 2023 Mod-V National and World Champion Sun Print raceboat owned by veteran Mod V racer Steve Miklos. But for fans who won’t be there and might not catch the livestream broadcast on the Race World Offshore Facebook page, here’s a quick look at the 29-foot Extreme V-bottom.
Designed and installed by Kinetic Animation, the new wrap for the Mod V-class Sun Print raceboat sponsored by El Bandido Yankee Tequila is an attention-getter.
Ryan Beckley and company at Kinetic Animation in Bradenton, Fla., handled the job.
“We designed it using elements of El Bandido Yankee Tequila’s artwork,” he said. “We printed it in-house, of course, and then our own Adam Williams installed it.
“It’s one of about a dozen boats that we’ve prepped in the last few weeks before the season-opener in Marathon,” he added.
Miklos secured El Bandido Yankee Tequila as a sponsor shortly before he and his cockpit-mate Steve Fehrmann claimed top Mod-V honors in the 2023 American Power Boat Association Offshore National Championships Series Just a few weeks before the 2023 World Championships in Key West Fla., the team owner wasn’t sure if he was even going to compete in the event.
His new spirit sponsor convinced him otherwise. And the result proved more than worth it.

The new graphics have freshened up the look of the well-traveled Sun Print raceboat.
