Photo Sequence Of The Week: She Said Yes

It’s been a busy weekend in the Florida Keys, the destination for Florida Powerboat Club Key West Poker Run and the spring MTI owners run. The latter took over Hawks Cay Resort on Duck Key and attracted one of the most spectacular MTI fleets in history.

What better place for an engagement than on board an MTI-V 42 center console docked at Hawks Cay Resort in the Florida Keys? Photo Sequence by Tom Leigh copyright Tommy Gun Images.

Among those go-fast beauties was an MTI-V 42 owned by Andrew Mackey of St. Louis. He was joined by Savanna Richardson, who arrived in the Keys as Mackey’s girlfriend and left as his fiancé.

And photographer Tom Leigh was there capture the proposal in his typically beautiful style.

Of course, Leigh knew what was coming, as did videographer Carter Bahde and new MTI marketing man Karson Madole. “They had a heads-up and were ready,” said Taylor Scism, the vice-president of the Wentzville, Mo., high-performance center console and catamaran company.

The proposal was the second such occurrence at an MTI event in the Keys. A few years back, 340X Tyler and Vanessa Stone got engaged during an owners happening.

From everyone at, congratulations to Savanna Richard and Andrew Mackey. You’re a beautiful couple—and we have the photos to prove it—and we wish you the very best.
