Paddle Antrim Releases New Chain of Lakes Water Trail Plan

Paddle Antrim’s updated Chain of Lakes Water Trail Plan includes exciting new enhancements for the Michigan water trail that offers over 100 miles of scenic paddling through 12 lakes and rivers across Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Antrim and Charlevoix counties.
“The Chain of Lakes Water Trail is more than a paddling route; it’s a community-driven effort to protect, connect, and educate,” says Deana Jerdee, executive director at Paddle Antrim. “Our new plan reflects the feedback from paddlers, access site owners, and local businesses ensuring that we’re meeting the needs of all stakeholders while preserving the natural beauty of this treasured resource.”
The updated plan includes enhanced amenities and infrastructure, increased environmental preservation efforts and increased access to the community and dedication to inclusivity.
“This plan underscores our commitment to creating a water trail that not only serves as a premier recreational destination but also fosters environmental stewardship and economic vitality,” adds Jerdee “We look forward to working with our partners and the community to bring these improvements to life.”
Paddle Antrim encourages access to the community water trail by offering a range of resources, including a paddler guide, digital map, trail signs and more.
