Nor-Tech Returning To Back Fort Myers Offshore Season Finale

Nor-Tech Returning To Back Fort Myers Offshore Season Finale

Still a relatively new destination for Fort Myers Offshore, the Riviera Bar and Grill in Punta Gorda, Fla., will host the club’s season-finale for the second year in a row. And once again, Cape Coral-headquartered Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats will sponsor the April 19 event called the Tiki Run.

With same destination, sponsor and good cause—Fort Myers Offshore raises scholarship money for post-secondary education—the event returns Saturday, April 19.

“Fort Myers Offshore is a wonderful organization that aligns with Nor-Tech’s philanthropic vision” explained Trond Schou, Nor-Tech’s chief executive officer and co-founder. “Assisting the youth of Lee County through scholarships and investing in the future of our community is a no-brainer.:

“We have been involved and donated for several years, and it’s fun to see so many Nor-Tech builds on the various run Fort Myers Offshore produces,” he continued. “It’ also great to mingle with our Nor-Tech family while enjoying some boating in our local water. So we are excited to be the main sponsor for the season finale again and we know many of the boaters will contribute thousands of dollars, as they always do. Fort Myers Offshore brings great value to our local youth and we are proud to partner them.”

Based on the current boom in Fort Myers Offshore growth and event-participation, the Tiki Run likely will double in size this year. But with 90-plus boats accommodated at the Riviera location for last December’s Holiday Fun Run, the venue and club members have proven the venue can handle a big fleet.

Said Fort Myers Offshore president Tim Hill, “The entire board of directors and I extend our deepest gratitude to Nor-Tech for their generous support and commitment to our mission. Their contributions play a vital role in helping us provide educational scholarships to local students continuing their education beyond high school.

“Nor Tech dedication to the community and passion for giving back truly makes a difference and we are honored to have them as a valued supporter,” he added.

Editor’s note: The penultimate event of the Fort Myers Offshore season, the Cayo Costa Beach Raft-Up is set for Saturday, April 5.
