Mystic To Showcase M5200 No. 4 and 500R-Powered M4200 No. 1 In Fort Lauderdale – Speed on the Water
At some point today, Mystic Powerboats company owner and founder John Cosker will pilot the DeLand, Fla., company’s latest M5200 luxury performance center console from Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale. The quad Mercury Marine Verado 600 outboard engine-powered 52-footer will be the centerpiece of Mystic’s display at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which opens Wednesday, October 25.

The new M5200 is hull No. 4 for Cosker and company. Since introducing the model during the 2022 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout, Mystic has taken seven orders for the boat.
“Three out of the first seven M5200s ordered have gone to the Lake of the Ozarks area,” Cosker said. “That tells you everything you need to know about that market.
“This one’s colors are a little more bold than those of the other 52s we’ve delivered so far,” he said.
A closer look at the details of Mystic M5200 build No. 4.
Cosker made the 170-plus-mile run from New Smyrna Beach to Palm Beach yesterday in the 52-footer. With the exception of speed-restricted zones, he ran 60 mph on the Intracoastal Waterway and 50 mph offshore.
“The V-12 600s are very efficient,” he said. “Fuel consumption was excellent and the ride was perfect.”
In addition to its latest M3800 center console and reimagined C4000 catamaran, Mystic will display its first Mercury Racing 500R outboard-powered M4200 center console the Fort Lauderdale event.
“I have not had the chance to drive it yet,” Cosker said. “But (Mystic general manager) Ryan Zivitski says it’s fantastic with that power.”
The first Mystic M4200 equipped with Mercury Racing 500R engines will be part of the Mystic showcase in Fort Lauderdale.
