Montlick Injury Attorneys All In With Key West Race Village Sponsorship

Less than a year ago, Atlanta-area attorney Nikki Montlick hadn’t taken a ride in a high-performance pleasure boat, much less a 450R Factory Stock-class 38-foot Doug Wright Powerboats raceboat. The notion of sponsoring a national-championship offshore racing team, much less a key element of an offshore race itself, hadn’t come close to crossing her mind.

Now Montlick, who works with her father and fellow attorney, David, at the law firm he founded in 1984, can check all of those items off her to-do list. Montlick Injury Attorneys backs the 450R Factory Stock team of the same name that claimed the 2024 American Power Boat Association 450R Factory Stock national championship with Logan Adan and veteran Giovanni Carpitella in the cockpit. Nikki Montlick didn’t just get her first go-fast powerboat ride this year, she did it behind the wheel of the team’s canopied catamaran during an exhibition run at the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in August.

And from November 3-10, Montlick Injury Attorneys will be the official sponsor of the Race Village at the Truman Waterfront during the Key West Offshore World Championships produced by Race World Offshore.

“We are super excited to support the Race Village,” Nikki Montlick said. “This has been such a great ride. We didn’t know what we were signing up for. I have learned so much more about powerboat racing in the last eight months than I ever could have expected. The people involved work so hard. And people make all the difference.

“I love all of it,” she added.

Come Sunday when she arrives in Key West to support the Montlick Injury Attorneys team in its quest to earn an APBA World Championship, she’ll have yet another item to check off her list.

Said Montlick, “I’ve never been to Key West before.”
