Mercury Racing Adds Altitude Propeller Line

Officially unveiled at the Miami international Boat Show last month, Mercury Racing’s Altitude propeller line is design for high-performance, outboard-engine-powered boats with thru-hull exhaust. According to a press release from the Fond du Lac, Wis., company, “Altitude propellers are designed to provide ultimate top-end speed without sacrificing low-speed maneuverability or planing performance.”

The CNC-machined propellers feature broached splines for 1.25-inch propeller shafts for the company’s V-10 400-hp and V-8-300-hp outboards, and 1.5-inch broached splines (or the engine-builder’s supercharged 500-hp V-8 outboard
“Their marine industry-first, modular barrel design allows for dialing in stern lift and supports additional customization options,” the release stated.
The props can be custom-ordered with barrel lengths up to three inches. The 18-degree rake wheels are available in 26- to 28-inch pitch. The 15-degree rake versions are offered in 30- to 35-inch pitches.
All Altitude propellers are shipped in Mercury Racing propeller cases.
