Horsepower Hottie Brand Hosting LOTO Powerfest Welcome Bash
With offshore powerboat racing teams from across the country rolling into town for this weekend’s LOTO Powerfest event at the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri, things are heating up off the water ahead of Saturday’s races. Tonight’s place-to-be is—without question—Shady Gators restaurant, which is right next door to the Camden On The Lake Resort host-venue for the Offshore Powerboat Association-produced happening in Lake Ozark. That’s because Nikki Sorenson and her fellow representatives from Horsepower Hottie, an apparel brand she established a few years ago, are hosting the event.

“There’s nothing better than having a good time at the lake, and if I can elevate the ‘fun level’ then I’m all about it, especially when our local businesses benefit,” said Sorenson, who works for Swift and Co. Realty, which just released its annual Get Down Guide publication. “Over the years, the owners of Shady Gators have always been big supporters of the races. So when J.G. Gorham reached out and asked if Horsepower Hottie/Bikini Lives Matter would help host LOTO Powerfest Kick Off Party, I couldn’t say no. We have paired up in the past years for Lake Race and the annual Shootout and it’s always been a crowd-pleaser.”
The fun starts at 7 p.m. Specials guests include Reese and Sara Langheim, the owners of the Super Stock-class Jackhammer team that calls the Lake of the Ozarks its home-water. Running its 32-foot Victory catamaran, the 2022 defending national champion team won the second race of the 2023 season (the first contest in Marathon, Fla., was canceled due to weather conditions) and has to be considered the favorite coming into this weekend’s competition.

Purchased for Sara Langheim, who plans to join her husband in the cockpit of the Jackhammer raceboat someday, Mrs. Jackhammer—a 32-foot Doug Wright Powerboats catamaran—will be displayed alongside the Victory cat outside Shady Gators tonight.
“That’s just Nikki being her amazing self, as usual,” said Sara Langheim. “We had talked last month about having the boats out front for her party tonight. It’s quite the honor for sure.”
The party will include giveaways, food and drink specials, a DJ and dancing and more.

Add Sorenson, “We are blessed to live in such a great place where we always try support one another.”
