It’s been a wild summer of weather across the country and Michigan City, Ind., on the southern shore of Lake Michigan, is no exception. Based on today’s forecast for unstable weather—a mix of rain, thunder and lightning—the organizers of the Great Lakes Grand Prix have advanced the schedule of races for the 57 registered teams spread across 11 classes.

Here’s a quick look at the revised start times for the five races in the Offshore Powerboat Association-produced event, the fifth of eight events in the American Power Boat Association Offshore Championship Series, on the four-mile course.
Race No. 1—10 a.m.
Stock V (11 laps), Bracket 600 (8 laps), Bracket 700 (6 laps)
Race No. 2—11 a.m.
Mod V, Bracket 400 (10 laps), Bracket 500 (9 laps)
Race No. 3—12 p.m.
Super Stock (11 laps)
Race No. 4—1 p.m.
Class 1 (13) laps
Race No. 5—2 p.m.
Super Cat (13 laps), Factory 450R Stock (11 laps)
•The final two contests may be combined based on current or impending weather.
