Eliminator Boats Delivering Two Boats In Time For This Week’s Regatta
In celebration of the company’s 52 years in business and its legion of loyal owners, Eliminator Boats is gathering once again in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., for another one of the Mira Loma, Calif., custom boat builder’s popular regattas on the Colorado River-fed lake that borders Arizona and California.

According to Jake Fraleigh, Eliminator’s president, there should be a “pretty good” turnout for the Eliminator Regatta, which is presented by Ilmor Marine and kicks off this Friday evening at Detail Specialties & Ceramic Coating and continues with a full day of boating on Saturday that includes a participants-only gathering from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Pirate Cove Resort in Needles, Calif.
A “pretty good” turnout by Fraleigh’s standard is a whopping 130 boats, which is more than the company has seen in several years.
“We’re super excited to see everyone at the Regatta this year,” Fraleigh said. “We have a lot of fun in store for everyone coming into town for the event. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there.
“I’m also looking forward to putting the event behind us and getting back to work,” he added with a laugh. “This is a busy time of year for us.”
Fraleigh said Eliminator is delivering two new boats this week to customers who will enjoy them during the regatta. One boat is a powerful 28 Speedster featuring twin Mercury Racing 700SCi engines and the other one is a 28 Fundeck—the first with a hard top shading the entire cockpit—that is powered by a single Teague Custom Marine 825EFI engine coupled with an IMCO Marine SCX drive.
The fun starts Friday evening at Detail Specialties from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., with food, drinks, dancing and live music from Matt Farris, a popular Arizona-based country singer.
