Doug Wright Powerboats Adds SLT Collection As Newest Dealer
The owner of SLT Collection in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Scot Conrad goes back a long way—as in to Super V-class competition in 2003 and 2004—with offshore racer Michel Karsenti, who has come out of retirement from the sport to compete in the 450R Factory Stock class in a 38-foot Doug Wright Powerboats catamaran. A few years ago, they crossed paths in Rome, Italy, and that led to the SLT Collection becoming the exclusive United States dealer for Canados Yachts.

Now SLT is one of three Doug Wright dealers in the country, joining Waves and Wheels in Osage Beach, Mo., and Maxed Out Marine in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. With those three dealers, the Melbourne, Fla., custom high-performance catamaran dealer has the country covered.
“We’re really excited to working with Scot and the SLT Collection team,” said Jr. Adan, a member of the Doug Wright Powerboats majority owners group. “And we have a lot more great news coming.”
That Karsenti’s 38-footer carried the Canados Yachts and SLT livery during the 2022 Race World Offshore World Championships in Key West, Fla., foreshadowed today’s news. Conrad had been looking for a line of high-performance catamarans to add, and Karsenti introduced him to the principals at Doug Wright Powerboats.
“To have a line of performance boats to sell has me pumped,” he said. “It’s the perfect relationship for both of us. The team at Doug Wright is aggressive and hard-working and I’m very excited about that.”
In addition its dealership relationship with Canados and now Doug Wright, the SLT Collection is an Airship RIB dealer, and that has already paid dividends for both parties. Doug Wright Designs has ordered an Airship 340 RIB to help support its offshore racing efforts, and in the meantime Conrad has loaned the team his personal 34-footer.
And on the Doug Wright cat sales side, Conrad said the relationship has “hit the ground running.”
“We already have deals on the table, like the buyer they already sent me who wants to trade in his Cigarette on a new Doug Wright build,” he explained. “I have told them I will take whatever cats they can free up so we can keep rocking and rolling.
“I could not be more excited to have the whole Doug Wright line to sell,” he added.
Said Conrad, “To have a line of performance boats to sell has me pumped.”
