Coast Guard Foundation Opens 2025 Scholarship Applications
Applications Accepted February 1 – April 1 for Children of Coast Guard Members
Stonington, Conn. – The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Coast Guard community and its families, has announced that applications for the 2025 Coast Guard Foundation Scholarship will be accepted from February 1 to April 1, 2025.
This annual scholarship program provides financial assistance to children of Coast Guard members pursuing higher education at a college, university, or trade school. Funds may be used to cover tuition, room and board, fees, books, and other educational expenses.
Scholarship Eligibility & Benefits
Each year, the Coast Guard Foundation awards more than 200 scholarships to dependents of active-duty, reservists, and retired Coast Guard members.
- Open to dependents of both enlisted members and commissioned officers.
- Supports students attending community colleges, four-year universities, and trade schools.
- Scholarships are renewable for up to four years for students who continue to meet eligibility criteria.
Since the program’s launch in 1990, the Coast Guard Foundation has awarded over $8.2 million in scholarships, helping Coast Guard families ease the financial burden of higher education.
