Headquartered in Opa-Locka, Fla., Cigarette Racing Team announced today on its website that it will team up with Big Thunder Marine, its authorized dealer at the Lake of the Ozarks, for the 2024 Cigarette Rendezvous on the Central Missouri waterway. The event is set for Friday, June 14.

“Today marks an exciting milestone as we launch our partnership with Big Thunder Marine,” said Alex Ruiz, the chief executive officer of Cigarette Racing team, in the online post regarding the event. “We believe that Big Thunder Marine offers unparalleled value to clients in the region, and their trajectory for growth is truly remarkable. It’s clear that they are setting the pace and separating themselves from the rest.”
Big Thunder Marine became Cigarette’s authorized dealer at the Lake of the Ozarks in March 2022 following the company’s purchase by John Ruiz in May 2021. The Cigarette event was started by Performance Boat Center—the South Florida sportboat and center console builder’s former dealer—10 years ago.
The Cigarette happening joins the Support Our Troops and Baja, Fountain and Donzi events under the Big Thunder Marine event-production umbrella.
“We’re excited to really get going with Cigarette at Lake of the Ozarks,” said Jeremy Anderson, Big Thunder Marine’s general manager, in the release. “We’ve already sold a few boats and look forward to our partnership and factory support of the Cigarette Rendezvous.”
