Avalon Bringing Color And Carbon Fiber To Fort Myers Boat Show – Speed on the Water

Southwest Florida-based performance-boat devotees not in Key West, Fla., this week—and there are many who didn’t make the trek for the 2023 Race World Offshore Key West World Championship—won’t lack for entertainment as the Fort Myers Boat Show opens Thursday, November 9. And though the event doesn’t boast much in the way of go-fast hardware, thanks to Avalon Pontoon Boats and WMF Watercraft and Marine a slew of performance-oriented pontoons with carbon-fiber superstructure and Mercury Racing outboard engine power will be on display.

And with their vibrant colors and stout Mercury Racing and Mercury Marine outboard power, they’re look like show-stealers.

As previously reported on speedonthwater.com, carbon fiber is now standard on the Alma, Wis., company’s 27- and 25-foot Excalibur series of tri-toons. Owned by performance-boat enthusiast Bill Forenski, WMF Watercraft and Marine, which has locations in Delaware and South Florida, is providing the showcase of vibrantly hued, carbon-fiber beauties.

The show is the official public debut for the new Avalon products.

“This will be the first show where our new carbon-fiber Excalibur models will be showcased,” said Miranda Doan, Avalon’s marketing manager. “We’re excited to have a variety of Mercury and Mercury Racing outboard-powered boats with twin and single engines to show a few different floorplans.
