DCB M42R Development Series—From Start To Finish

Announced and delivered in 2024, the first DCB Performance Marine M42R catamaran wasn’t just an intense labor of love for the Phoenix-based company. The 42-footer heralded the direction of “the modern DCB,” as rigger John Teague put it, under the direction of managing partners Craig and Kim Hargreaves and DCB owners group members Tony Chiaramonte, Jeff Johnston and Paul Miller.

New to the company in late 2023, vice-president of manufacturing Johnny Bauer shepherded the project from renderings to production. When hull No. 1 touched the water for the first time, Bauer on the boat.

The M42R catamaran was a logical progression for the DCB team.

Speedonthewater.com followed the project through all of its stage throughout 2024—riding down to enjoy the first media-ride in early December.
