2024 Viaggio Lago Z 24S
Viaggio’s Lago series offers high quality at a competitive price. Take the Lago Z 24S, a solid performer with a Suzuki 300 for power. It hit a brisk 44.2 mph and zoomed from zero to 30 mph in 8.9 seconds. Its most economical cruising speed was 14.2 mph, where we recorded 3.6 mpg. It’s also notably quiet; our decibel meter read 77 dB(A) at cruise speeds.
Viaggio builds boats to last. All underdeck wires and connections are concealed and use high-end Deutsch connections to thwart corrosion. Thicker aluminum is employed for tubes and splash guards. Heavier full C-channel cross members connect the tubes to the deck frame. Deck-corner caps have navigation and docking lights built in for a clean look. The triple-tube package features 25-inch tubes (27 inches is optional for bigger water) with sealed lifting strakes and spray guards. This package also comes with SeaStar Pro steering and a full underdeck spray shield. The result is a solid handler that gives a dry ride.
A new fiberglass helm with a 3-inch riser makes for easier viewing forward. The helm features an optional 9-inch Simrad multifunction screen and 5-inch electronic digital gauges, and a framed Lexan windshield is standard. It also comes with LED lighting around the seat bases and in the speakers, cup holders and table bases. Order the optional wireless phone charger in the dash.
Seating areas feature storage underneath with a water-drip channel to keep gear dry. Recessed lumbar areas feature custom-stitched vinyl with USB charge ports and lighted cup holders, a recessed toe kick underneath with vinyl wrapped Rotocast seat bases, and dual-action knuckle hinges to make accessing the storage underneath easier.
In front, twin facing lounge seats form a bow conversation pit. Twin captain’s chairs come standard. Just behind, a wide lounge pad with a reversible Swingback multiposition backrest is fitted to the port side. A stainless-steel retaining fence keeps crew safe while underway. The extended aft deck proves as great for watersports as for sandbar gatherings.
High Points
- The 2-inch-wide top-rail extrusions give Viaggio’s boats a distinctive, bold appearance.
- Docking lights integrated into the deck-corner castings are a cool touch.
- Heated and cooled cup holder is a great feature.
