XINSURANCE Named Title Sponsor Of Next Week’s Shootout Offshore Race
In its first year under the wings of the 36-year-strong Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Central Missouri, the renamed Shootout Offshore announced a title sponsor today for next week’s third event of the American Power Boat Association Offshore National Championship Series and the second event of the Powerboat P1-produced Union Internationale Motonautique Class 1 World Championship Series.

According to a press release from the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout, this year’s Shootout Offshore has established a partnership with XINSURANCE for its inaugural races on May 31-June 1. With a mere week remaining until the commencement of Shootout Offshore’s UIM/APBA/Powerboat P1-sanctioned races and all events preceding its two-day, multi-class runs, the countdown is officially on at the Lake of the Ozarks, the release stated.
“As we approach this year’s Shootout Offshore race here at the Lake of the Ozarks, we want to grow this event into its former glory and it was only fitting to approach a national sponsor like XINSURANCE—a well-known name in the powerboating world and beyond—who has a passion for both offshore racing and giving back to local communities,” explained Shootout executive director Leah Martin.
According to the release, XINSURANCE president and chief executive officer Rick J. Lindsey’s tenacity for recreation and all-things sports are what drew him into the world of high-performance boating and events such as Shootout Offshore. In fact, Lindsey owns a Class 1 team, which will not be participating in next week’s race because it’s still being repaired following an accident at the 2023 Key West World Championship, and sponsors teams in the Mod-V, Bracket 500 and Bracket 700 classes.
“The XINSURANCE team is excited to participate and compete in the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout and Shootout Offshore 2024 events,” Lindsey stated in the release. “The excitement of competitive racing fueled by teams and crews dedicated to high-level performance is inspiring to us all.”
