Where Boating Dreams Come True: FLIBS 2024 Preview

The 65^th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

We all have dreams. Maybe it’s exploring the world or winning the pickleball championship at the country club. For boaters, it might be the dream of a new center console or stepping up to a sport yacht to cruise the Caribbean.

The 65^th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) can turn dreams into reality. Taking place October 30^th to November 3^rd, the show has more than 1,300 boats on display at seven locations in the Fort Lauderdale area. FLIBS takes place primarily at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center and Broward County Convention Center with other show locations at the Las Olas Marina, Hall of Fame Marina, Superyacht Village at Pier 66 South, Pier 66 Marina, and the 17^th Street Yacht Basin. Informa Markets produces the show on behalf of the Marine Industries Association of South Florida. Organizers recommend using the shuttle buses and water taxis to move around to show sites.

If a new boat is still a distant dream, FLIBS is a great opportunity to pick up a new accessory such as a life jacket for the current boat. Other attractions include Superyacht Village, featuring superyachts and exhibits; Windward VIP Club, an exclusive club with gourmet food and premium bar; an AquaZone featuring a freshwater pool with in-water demos; live music, and educational seminars.

Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets online in advance as there is no box office at FLIBS. A one-day general admission ticket is $44, while a two-day general admission pass is $74. The special Wednesday preview ticket is $67, while the Windward VIP ticket is $398 and up (includes early entry). A one-day child (6-12 years old) general admission ticket is $17. Children younger than age 6 enter free if accompanied by an adult. Active military and veterans receive complimentary general admission on Sunday.

FLIBS opens daily at 10AM (Wednesday starts at noon) and closes at 7PM (Sunday closes at 6PM). There are plenty of after-show parties to keep the fun going.
