Waves And Wheels To Dress First Valor 27 Widebody Catamaran
Currently being rigged with twin Mercury Racing 300R outboard engines at Manatee Marine Unlimited in Palmetto, Fla., the first Valor 27 Widebody catamaran should arrive at Waves and Wheels in three weeks for custom paint and interior fabrication and installation. Waves and Wheels owner Justin Wagner and his crew at the thriving Osage Beach, Mo., operation typically do their own rigging work, but this time around having the Manatee crew—also known for impeccable rigging—handle it made the best sense for everyone’s schedule.

Built in Dubai, the new Valor cat is a non-competitive offering for Waves and Wheels, which is a Doug Wright catamaran dealer offering models from 32 to 42 feet.
“I am very excited about this new model from Valor,” Wagner explained. “It will expand and complement what we currently offer in custom catamarans. It’s going to be impressive, and once it arrives we should have it done in eight to 12 weeks.
“This year, I am hoping to finish and sell three or four of them,” he added. “Down the road, I think we could do one a month.”
For purposes of scale, the catamaran on the right is the first Valor 38.
Waves and Wheels currently has five Doug Wright catamarans—two 42s, two 39s and a 36—in progress. One 42-footer, one 39-footer and the 36-footer are still, like the new Valor cat, for sale.
“We can have a buyer for any one of those cats in the water by summer,” Wagner said.
