With Northeast locations in Norwalk, Ct., Grasonville, Md., and Tuckerton, N.J., and another in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Total Marine is one of the most respected dealerships on the East Coast. Adding to its list of brands it represents, Total Marine is now the exclusive dealer for American Marine Performance catamarans and center consoles in the Northeast region, according to a press release from the Pompano Beach, Fla.-based boat builder.

Walt Braithwaite, vice president of sales and marketing for American Marine Performance, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership in the release, stating that it marks a significant milestone for both companies and enables AMP to establish a strong presence in one of the nation’s premier markets.
“This collaboration between American Marine Performance and Total Marine is a great move for both companies,” Braithwaite said. “It brings together the expertise and business savvy of two industry leaders, setting the stage for an exciting future in high-performance center consoles and cats.”
According to the release, Tom Caruso, owner of Total Marine, and Arthur Fusco, owner of American Marine Performance, bring decades of experience and a shared passion for the marine business with a deep commitment to delivering top-quality boats.
Citing that American Marine Performance’s boats are offered at an excellent price point, Caruso told speedonthewater.com why he added the line to a brand list that includes Donzi Marine, Fountain Powerboats and GSX Powerboats.
“American Marine Performance is the most exciting new builder to enter the high-performance boat market in years and we are thrilled to partner with them,” Caruso said.
Caruso’s business partner Jim Renfrow agreed.
“The company has quickly positioned itself as a premium tier builder with exceptional attention to quality and performance, making them a favorable alternative for our customers,” said Renfrow, who added that Total Marine already has a 33-foot and a 43-foot center console on order.
Braithwaite said the builder’s lineup has expanded to include four models currently in production—the AMP 333 center console and the new flagship, the AMP 433 luxury performance center console, along with the Smart Performance Marine-designed high-performance catamarans, the 34 XPR and 37 XPR.
