The 2025 Pantone Colour: A Celebration of Innovation and Vision
Each year, the Pantone Colour Institute selects a shade that reflects current trends, cultural movements, and emotions, influencing design across various industries including fashion, interior design, and product development. The colour for 2025 has been officially unveiled as PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, a warming brown hue imbued with richness. This colour nurtures us with its suggestion of the delectable qualities of chocolate and coffee, responding to our desire for comfort. The selection process is rooted in thorough analysis, with experts considering societal influences, art, travel, and nature to ensure the chosen hue reflects the zeitgeist.
One yacht ahead of the curve in colour trends was Azamanta, who opted for this very shade ten years prior, when they chose it for the hull of their 55-metre yacht delivered in 2015. This bold decision demonstrates not only foresight but also a deep understanding of evolving aesthetics, aligning with trends in luxury and design.
Azamanta stands as a remarkable achievement in modern naval architecture. She was the first steel yacht above 50 metres to feature the ultra-efficient Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), devised by Van Oossanen Naval Architects and engineered by Heesen Yachts’ in-house teams. Designed for global exploration and adventure, Azamanta was built to navigate even the most challenging waters with elegance and safety.
The yacht’s exterior design, crafted by Omega Architects, is defined by its sharp, chiselled lines and the innovative “shark tooth” detail on the wheelhouse, enhancing its striking persona. She was the first in Heesen’s highly successful 55m class. The introduction of vertical windows—new to Heesen’s design philosophy—along with multiple glass insertions in the bulwarks, floods the interior with natural light. This design fosters a seamless indoor/outdoor connection, allowing guests to enjoy stunning sea views from the sky lounge.
The yacht was thoughtfully designed to host up to twelve guests across six cabins, including a master suite, all with unique ensuite bathrooms adorned with bespoke mosaics. The interior blends Metropolitan-style Art Déco with nature-inspired motifs, interpreted elegantly by Sinot Design. This unique approach juxtaposes dark patterned wood with light silk fabrics, creating a welcoming, home-like ambience.
Azamanta boasts extensive outdoor spaces, including an expansive sundeck of 110 square metres, equipped with bespoke furniture ideal for high-end receptions. A rigid cover can transform the Jacuzzi area into a stage for live performances, making this deck a luxurious venue for entertainment. The owner’s private terrace, furnished for intimate dining experiences, further enhances the yacht’s allure.
With the 2025 Pantone colour, Mocha Mousse, newly revealed, Azamanta’s choice of this shade for her hull ten years ago epitomises foresight in embracing innovative design and colour trends. The yacht exemplifies achievements in design, efficiency, and luxury, serving as a benchmark for the future of yachting. Azamanta not only symbolises elegance and refinement but also embodies the spirit of exploration, beautifully resonating with the essence of the recently unveiled Pantone colour. This synergy will undoubtedly continue to inspire creativity for years to come.
