Texas Outlaw Challenge Opens Registration

Heading into its 18th year as the best-known-and-attended performance boating event in the Lone Star State, the Texas Outlaw Challenge opened registration yesterday afternoon. The five-day happening runs from June 18-22 and has activities in Kemah, Seabrook and Nassau Bay.

Returning highlights of the Houston-area event include the Stampede Street Party, the Gunslinger Poker Run, the National Top-Speed Shootout Championship and—of course—the notorious pool party hosted by 48-foot Phantom MTI owner Kenny Armstrong.
“I just heard from my friend, neighbor and No. 1 sponsor, Kenny Armstrong of the DH Technology company, and he’s excited to have another amazing event at his home this year,” said Paul Robinson, the longtime primary organizer of the Texas Outlaw Challenge. “We’ve docked 200-plus boats at Kenny’s in past years and he now has room for more.

“It should be another epic party,” he added.
