TecnoRib Powering 50-Footer With Twin Mercury Marine Verado 600 Outboards
Fresh from its first sea trial earlier this week, the TecnoRib Pirelli 50 will debut at the Palma de Mallorca International Boat Show in Spain when it opens May 28. The 50-footer is the flagship of the Italian company walk-around rigid inflatable boat series.
TecnoRib has powered its flagship Pirelli 50 walk-around RIB with Mercury Marine Verado 600s.
The model slated to be showcased is powered by twin Mercury Marine Verado 600 outboard engines. According to a press release from the Milan, Italy-headquartered boatyard, the Pirelli 50 reportedly tops out at 50 knots with that propulsion package. A trio of the Fond du Lac, Wis., company’s also 600-hp, V-12 also are an option for the 50-footer, which rides on a stepped hull created by the Mannerfelt Design Team in Sweden.
Powered by Mercury Marine Verado 300 outboards, the Pirelli 35, is the company’s smallest walk-around RIB and will be displayed alongside its largest sibling.
“The Palma Boat Show is the ideal setting for the world premiere of the Pirelli 50, as the Iberian market is one of the areas in which our products are most popular,” said Giovanni De Bonis, the chief executive officer of TecnoRib, in the release. “We have chosen to exhibit two models of the new generation of maxi-RIB in which we strongly believe. This line best represents the evolution of our brand, as it best combines sportiness and refinement.”
With twin 600-hp Mercury outboards on its transom, the 50-footer tops out at 50 knots.
