Super Cat Fest West Raises $342,247 For Local Children’s Charities

Between proceeds from the Saturday night auction at Horizon Motorsports and a matching donation from the Carver family on behalf of the R.J. Noble Company, the third annual Super Cat Fest West gathering netted $342,247 for charities benefitting children in the Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Local personality Dave Johnson and Alvin Heathman, who handles the original Super Cat Fest at the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri produced the sold-out, 135-boat event presented by DCB Performance Marine and KICKER Marine Audio.

Both the post-expense fundraising total and boat-count are records for the Lake Havasu happening under the third-year direction of Johnson and Heathman. Headquartered at Havasu Riviera Marina again, the event included casual lunch runs and nightly parties with live music.
“I am extremely happy with the way the event turned out,” Johnson said via text message yesterday afternoon. “It was far and away the biggest one yet.”

For the third year in a row, Havasu Riviera Marine was Super Cat Fest West’s day-and-night headquarters. Photo from Super Cat Fest West 2024 by Tom Leigh copyright Tommy Gun Images.
The founder RiverDavesPlace, a popular online community and content site, Johnson credited his wife, Stacy, and her team at RDP Real Estate in Lake Havasu City for their support throughout the event.
“They handled all the volunteers, the auctions, the gift bags and much more,” he said. “And Stacy does a lot behind the scenes.”
