Super Cat Fest West Opens Registration
For the third year in a row, organizers Dave Johnson and Alvin Heathman are teaming up to bring Super Cat Fest West—a four-day celebration of high-performance powerboats and the people who love them—to Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Registration for the April 10-13 event opened yesterday.

All organized on-water activities such as lunch-runs and photo shoots will be based out of Havasu Riviera Marina, the lake’s newest and most modern facility. Off-the-water activities will include nightly parties culminating with a live charity auction on Saturday night at Horizon Motorsports, which carries the Sunsation Boat line. In 2024, the event raised more than $300,000 for children’s charities in Lake Havasu City.
DCB Performance Marine and KICKER Marine Audio are returning as title backers for the 2025 event.
Last year’s event attracted 120 high-performance boats.
“Super Cat Fest West was awesome, and it reminded me of the old days of Desert Storm when there was a lunch run to Havasu Spring on Thursday,” said first-time participant Tank Sears of Ventura, Calif., after the 2024 event. “Low stress—that was my biggest takeaway from the event. It had a very laid-back vibe that worked extremely well.
“Dave Johnson and his crew hit it out of the park,” he added.
DCB catamaran and soon-to-be Deep Impact center-console owners Nick and Monnica Child of Utah were among the participants at Super Cat Fest West last year.
