Specific starting times for the remainder of today’s races had not been released at press time, but the sequence is as follows:
• Class 1—Seven teams are registered. As reported yesterday by Speedonthewater.com contributing editor Eric Colby, 222 Offshore Australia turned in the fastest lap Saturday on the five-mile, Lake Michigan course to claim the pole position for today’s Class 1 start, followed by Huski Ice Spritz and Pothole Heroes. Though the Unlimited class was slated to run with Class 1, there are no Unlimited-class teams in Michigan City this weekend.
• Super Cat—Eight teams are registered.
• 450R Factory Stock and Extreme V—Four teams, two running MTI cats and two running Doug Wright Powerboats cats, are registered in 450R Factory Stock. Knucklehead Racing will be the sole entry in the Extreme V category.
Though the livestream broadcast from yesterday’s races experienced technical difficulties for much of the morning and afternoon, it is scheduled to return this morning shortly before 10 a.m. on the Offshore Powerboat Association YouTube channel.
