Sunsation Sun Run Success Spurs ‘Sun Run Event Series’
Within a few days after opening registration on March 1, the fourth annual Sunsation Boats Sun Run set for July 31-August 3 had 100 registered boats. With the current total at 115 entries and registration open through May 31, the 2025 brand-celebration could be the largest one yet for the Algonac, Mich., center-console builder.

“We’re enhancing the event in every way possible, all while keeping it a low cost for customers to enjoy what has become a four-day summer vacation for most participants,” explained Ryan Wenk, the company’s national sales and marketing manager. “And we’re always excited to share our paradise—Lake St. Clair—with newcomers.”
Still, there are far more Sunsation powerboat owners who cannot make it to the annual Michigan-based event than can. And that gave Wenk and the Sunsation team an idea.
“We will be taking the Sun Run event series on the road in the future, working with customers throughout the country to coordinate smaller, more intimate event experiences on their home-waters,” he said. “This has been our plan for a couple years.
“We will announce the Sun Run event-calendar during our award ceremony at the Sun Run street party later this year,” he added.
