Sponsor Sign-Ups Booming For Kuttawa Cannonball Run
With almost two full months remaining before the first boat leaves Kuttawa Harbor Marina in Kentucky, the host venue for the eighth annual Kuttawa Cannonball Run, 13 sponsors have stepped up to help back the event. And sponsor registration, as well as general registration, is still open.
Jeff Hoefling, who organizes the three-day affair with friends Terry Martin and Stephen Miles, believes this year’s already strong sponsor draw is a result of the May 31-June 1 event’s 501c3 not-for-profit status.

“In the past, our sponsors and the individuals that donated the items for our charity auction were unable to take the write-off for charitable contributions,” Hoefling explained. “As of January 1, 2024, we are now an official not-for-profit corporation, which allows us to provide a donation receipt to all our sponsors and contributors.
“We not only want to help our community at the lake, but we also want to help our sponsors and the individuals that make all this possible,” he added.
