“The pandemic has significantly enhanced the interest in cruising and boat ownership, especially at this time of year as we plan to operations,” says Southwest Florida Yachts Co-Owner Barb Hansen.  “Additionally, damage to several of our cruisers as the result of Hurricane Ian has put major demands on our charter fleet leading to an immediate need for fleet expansion.”

Southwest Florida Yachts is seeking late-model, diesel-powered sail and power vessels in the 30-to-50-foot range for its charter fleet. Monohulls such as Catalina and Island Packet, sailing cats like Fountaine Pajot and Leopard and power yachts such as Mainship, Grand Banks, Sabreline and Beneteau and certain power cats have been successful in the charter program.

“Charter revenue is a great way to help offset the cost of boat ownership,” said Hansen.  As a Buyer’s Broker, Barb helps her clients find the right boat.  “If you are in the market to purchase a vessel, we can find a boat for you that meets both your needs and our charter requirements.  We may also accept a well-maintained late-model (from approximately 2000 to present) vessel that you already own if it meets our standards for condition and equipment.”
