When dimples are added to a golf ball, it creates a tiny layer of air that significantly cuts down drag, resulting in a much smoother ball flight. Engineers of Solara Boats call this design Laminar Flow Interrupters built into the hull, which provides outstanding cornering ability and when combined with a deep-V forward and tapered bow flare creates a vessel strong enough to handle rough water with ease.
Solara’s S-310 Center Walkaround (CW) has that sporty swagger that excels at fishing, overnighting and entertaining. Powered by twin Yamaha F300 outboards, this new model is quick to plane and provides high efficiency when coupled with an advanced double-stepped hull.
Astute yachtsmen may recognize the dimple effect from Cutwater and Ranger Tugs, all part of Solara’s parent company that has decades of boat building experience. Solara is bringing a fresh look to the water, incorporating many features as standard to enhance your boating pleasure.
At the helm, dual Garmin 8612 chartplotters display everything from position to function, and integrated bow and stern cameras come in handy when docking. The walkaround layout not only makes fishing easier but also makes access easy for passengers to reach the spacious open bow that features a removable table, seating for six, Fusion stereo controls and 11 drink holders.
Behind the helm is a cockpit with six rod holders, eight rocket launchers, a large livewell, a built-in fishbox and EVA traction decking.
Nighttime aboard the Solara S-310 CW should be comfortable. The large V-berth converts into lounge seating, with a fully enclosed head with an electric flush toilet and shower adjacent. A galley with refrigerator/freezer, a flatscreen TV, and heat and air rounds out the amenities.
