Sirius Signal Marine Safety App Rebrands as Afloat Plan Home

Leader in marine safety solutions Sirius Signal recently announced a rebranding of its marine safety app to Afloat Plan Home, which has relaunched separate from the Sirius Signal brand and includes updated functionality.

“Since it originally launch in 2019, the app has been well received and used by a great many people recreating on the water,” says Anthony Covelli, Sirius Signal CEO. “With the summer boating season right around the corner, we’re pleased to offer a free download of Afloat Plan Home on iOS and Android platforms starting on May 20.”

The app is a simple and fast way to let others know you’ve arrived safely home from a day on the water. Users send a description and starting point via text, and choose the start time and expected return time, and if the trip is not ended, contacts will receive the user’s last known location and a link to a map showing the area of operation. The app also includes a unique offline interactive first aid treatment guide.

“All activities on water start afloat and hopefully you stay afloat,” Covelli adds. “Afloat Plan is just that — a plan to let others know you remained afloat the entire time and you are safely back.”
