Silent 62 3-Deck
A new spaceship is coming to Florida. You’ll have the first chance to check out the new three deck Silent 62 at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. This technological tour de force will add a solar-shaded roof to its fairly astonishing 645 square foot upper deck (the boat overall has over 2,500 square feet of deck space alone). The model at FLIBS will offer high/low tables on the upper deck, dual helm stations in the 500-plus square foot salon and up on the flybridge. Silent is saying that owners can add all sorts of custom configurations—dining tables, bar space, gym gear or a big jacuzzi. With an electric tender and judicious power management, you could pretty much cruise the Bahamas all winter long without cranking the generator, thanks to the boat’s 16.8 kW solar array and its 286 kWh battery bank (by comparison, a 300-mile Tesla Model S carries 100 kWh of juice). That’s a pretty appealing proposition.
