Shootout Offshore Releases Event Schedule

Set for May 31-June, Shootout Offshore—formerly LOTO Powerfest and the Lake Race—has released its four-day schedule for the Powerboat P1-produced event. The Lake of the Ozarks races officially are part of the 2024 American Power Boat Association Offshore National Championship Series and Union Internationale Motonautique Class 1 World Championship Series thanks to Powerboat P1, which is an APBA member-organization.

The United Kingdom-based P1 group announced the schedule via a press release this morning. Here’s quick look at what’s in store for participants and fans.

Wednesday, May 29: Shootout Offshore Boat Parade and Street Party on the Bagnell Dam Strip. Start and finish times to be announced.
Thursday, May 30: Vendor and pre-pit setup with a Shootout Offshore Stereo Sound-Off Pre-Party at Shady Gators restaurant in Lake Ozark.
Friday, May 31, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.: Testing, racing, and qualification

Bragging rights are a big deal among the teams that call the Lake of the Ozarks their home-water.

Friday, May 31 (Evening): Drivers Reception and VIP Charity Auction at the Camden on the Lake Resort. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation and various charities serving children in the Lake of the Ozarks area. A concert at Shady Gators is scheduled for later that evening.
Saturday, June 1, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Racing, various classes. An awards ceremony at either the Camden on the Lake Resort or Shady Gators restaurant will follow.
