Sea Tow Foundation Welcomes Five New Members to its Boating Safety Advisory Council

The Sea Tow Foundation added five new members to its Boating Safety Advisory Council, which is made up of decision makers and influencers from all parts of the for-profit boating industry. The members are chosen by the current council and executive committee for a two-year term, and are eligible for a second term.

A non-profit organization committed to providing education and resources surrounding safe boating, the Sea Tow Foundation’s Boating Safety Advisory Council members are responsible for attending quarterly meetings, consulting on boating safety topics, and participating in boating safety initiatives, as well as helping judge entries for the annual National Boating Safety Awards.

“We received dozens of applications from highly-regarded individuals in the boating industry and we are thrilled to welcome these five incredible individuals to our Boating Safety Advisory Council,” says Gail R. Kulp, executive director of the Sea Tow Foundation. “We’re looking forward to seeing how these new members will diversify and expand our efforts at promoting boating safety within the industry and help us continue to save lives.”

This year’s new appointees are: Steven Bull, creator, host and producer of Water Ways and an award-winning broadcaster with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Christine Carlson McKone, Director of Marketing for Volvo Penta North America. Gunnar Davies, Digital Marketing Specialist for BRP Marine. Alisdair Martin, the Vice President of Strategy & Sales for the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA). And Leslie Palmer, the National Sales Director for Boating Industry Magazine.
