Scrapyard Media Video Celebrates The Best Of The 20th Anniversary Boyne Thunder Poker Run
For the second year in a row, the Scrapyard Media team has produced a video capturing the Boyne Thunder Poker Run and once again the finished product is outstanding. The Michigan-based video outfit, which was founded by Brad DiMaggio in 2020 and includes his wife, Katie, and editor/videographer Bobby Boyd, has once more proven why it leads the high-performance media world in video storytelling.

That leadership starts with DiMaggio, who is never quite satisfied with his own work.
“My number one goal was to up the level from last year’s video,” he explained.” We heard from fans that there needed to be more boat-engine noise and more running shots. I think we accomplished that.
“Selfishly, the thing I enjoyed most this year was flying above all the participants—without ever ‘hitting a wave’ in the helicopter—and capturing numerous boats launching off the wake from a Viking yacht,” he added. “You’ll know why when you watch the video.”
DiMaggio credited his on-scene crew in Boyne City, which in addition to his wife and Boyd included Jordan Godin, Ryder Boss, Madolin Welch and speedonthewater.com co-publisher Jason Johnson, for the 20-minute video’s success.
“This video couldn’t have been made without the incredible crew behind it,” he said. “They all played a huge role in bring this year’s Boyne Thunder Poker Run to life and I cannot thank them enough.”

Scrapyard Media’s production credits include the Speed On The Water In The Lead video series now in its third season, the 2023 Mercury Racing Water Street Confidential video series celebrating the company’s 50th anniversary and the Monster Energy/M CON Class 1 Skater raceboat build documentary, has garnered more than 320,000 views since its mid-May 2023 release. In 2022, the company produced an outstanding video chronicling the comeback of the 1,000 Islands Charity Poker Run in Clayton, N.Y.
