Scott Free Racing Partnering With Gen-Y Hitch For APBA Offshore National Championship Series

Scott Free Racing, the longstanding father-and-son offshore race team of Steve and Stephen Kildahl, has added another committed partner to the team’s list of supportive sponsors for the 2024 American Power Boat Association Offshore National Championship Series.

According to Stephen Kildahl, the team’s vice president and driver, Scott Free Racing is excited to announce the new associate partnership agreement with GEN-Y Hitch, an Indiana-based company well known for its bumper, fifth-wheel and gooseneck towing products. The younger Kildahl said the deal allows for GEN-Y Hitch branding on the team assets along with creating unique video and social content to further activate within the Mod V-class team’s avid boater fan base.

“We’re looking forward to working with everyone at GEN-Y Hitch this season,” Kildahl said. “Their craftsmanship and dedication to their products is remarkable and we can’t wait to showcase their hitches on the circuit. We can trust GEN-Y Hitch when towing our boat across the country and we look forward to educating and generating awareness about their brand throughout the season.”

Scott Free Racing, which fans know best as the Boatfloater.com team, will kick off the season April 26-28 in Marathon, Fla., for the first round of the APBA Offshore National Championship Series produced by Race World Offshore.

“GEN-Y Hitch is so excited to partner with the Scott Free offshore racing team,” said Donna Schmucker, GEN-Y Hitch’s marketing director. “With Stephen and Steve’s experience and reputation in the racing industry, we are eager to get more involved in the offshore racing world and learn more about it. We look forward to cheering on Scott Free Racing this season.”

Proudly made in the USA, the company’s hitches are built with the patented Torsion-Flex Technology, which was designed to create the smoothest ride on the market. See for yourself—whatever you tow with, whether it’s a bumper pull trailer or fifth-wheel camper, GEN-Y Hitch has a solution.
