Rock The River Cincy Fun Run To Open General Registration May 1—With Fewer Slots

The Rock The River Cincinnati Fun Run opens general registration May 1—but there’s a wrinkle. Just 75 slots are available for the three-day, August 14-16 happening on the Ohio River thanks to “overwhelming sponsorship numbers,” according to Pat Feldhaus, who organizes the annual event with his brother, Matt, and their mutual friend Michael Caliguri.

General registration for the event, which is capped at 125 total boats, opens May 1 at 9 a.m. “We had 50 sponsor boats register before we cut off sponsor sign-ups,” Feldhaus explained.
Benefitting the Cecil Dye Foundation, the run already has brought in $66,500 in sponsor donations. The not-for-profit organization helps ease the financial burdens on those battling cancer, according to its website.
In 2024, the event sponsors and participants raised a record-setting $40,000 for the charity.

The Ohio River is home-water for the event.
“We aim to double the donation to the Cecil Dye Foundation compared to last year and potentially reach the $100,000 mark,” Feldhaus said.
