Riveiro And Maldonado To Tackle Super Stock Season With New Title Backer

The owner of The Firm Realty Group in Key Largo. Fla., Pete Riveiro has enlisted his longtime friend and veteran throttleman Ricky Maldonado to join him in the 32-foot Fazza catamaran for the 2025 Super Stock season. The season begins May 17-18 with the Thunder On Cocoa Beach event in Cocoa Beach, Fla.

Yet Maldonado isn’t the only new addition to The Firm Racing Team. Mikalyzed, a Miami-based group of entrepreneurs led by former healthcare company owner Michael Quevedo that “invests in other entrepreneurs,” will be the team’s title sponsor this season. According to a press release from the team, the Mikalyzed company slogan, “Planting The Seeds of Greatness,” reflects its commitment “to nurture potential, spark ambition and cultivate a lasting legacy of positive change in every life we touch.”

“Teaming up with The Firm Racing Team is more than just a sponsorship—it’s a shared journey of passion, purpose, and pushing limits,” Quevedo said in the release. “At Mikalyzed, we’re proud to ride alongside you as we plant seeds of greatness, one race at a time.”

The catamaran will soon be wrapped in its title sponsor’s graphics.

Riveiro and Maldonado have raced together before and are comfortable with one another.

“I am blessed with him next to me in the cockpit,” Riveiro said during an interview Friday. “He is under control and super-calm. I have learned, and am still learning, a lot from him.”

Reached last week at his home in Maldonado said he expected to fare well with Riviero behind the wheel. “We communicate really well, and that’s very important,” he said. “I’m looking forward to this season with Pete.”
