After a few days of enjoying the Atlantic Ocean waters between Miami and The Bahamas, Arizona-based photographer Tom Leigh took some time away from swimming with pigs, eating Conch and sipping on fruity drinks to gather up some of his favorite images from a couple days on and off the water with the 100-plus people who are participating in this week’s MTI Owners Fun Run to The Bahamas.

With 14 of the Wentzville, Mo., company’s luxury performance center consoles on hand for the fun, which continues into next week, the consensus so far is extremely positive.
Yeah, I know, it seems a little silly to ask how the trip is going or whether the owners are having fun. Seriously, who wouldn’t be having a good time, right?
“It has been a fantastic trip so far,” Taylor Scism, client relations manager for the high-performance center console and catamaran manufacturer, said on Saturday morning. “The weather and water has been in our favor and everyone has enjoyed exploring new waters in their MTIs.”
Surrounded by fish and nurse sharks, MTI enthusiast Sieglinde Moe was all smiles in the beautiful blue Bahamian waters.
Longtime MTI owner and Oklahoma native Jake Nossaman echoed Scism’s sentiments.
“We have had the best weather and water you could ask for,” said Nossaman, who is enjoying the fun run in his MTI-V 50 powered by five Mercury Racing 450R engines. “It’s a great group of people on the most bad-ass boats in the Atlantic! What more could you ask for?”
Alan Wise, who hails from Tennessee, expressed that he and his crew have been enjoying themselves in his stunning 42-footer powered by quad 450R engines.
“This trip is epic!” Wise said with enthusiasm. “Out of all the boating I’ve done, this trip tops it all.”

When asked how he was enjoying his first trip to The Bahamas, Leigh exclaimed, “It’s awesome down here!”
“It’s going good,” Leigh said. “This is the first time for me and what a great way to see (The Bahamas)!”
According to Scism, today is a “free day” for participants to take in the sights in and around the Atlantis Bahamas Resort on Paradise Island.
On Sunday, the fleet will depart the Atlantis for Bimini for a two-night stay before returning to Haulover Marine Center in Miami on Tuesday morning.
